Akshara, who was thought by many as disinterested in films, is debuting as heroine in a Bollywood film titled Shamitabh directed by R. Balki. Dhanush, who plays a deaf and dumb youth, is paired opposite Akshara.
Amitabh Bachchan, who has played significant roles in Balki’s earlier films, plays a pivotal role again in Shamitabh. Ilaiyaraaja scores the film’s music.
“Akshara is safely placed and doesn’t need my constant advice. I’m sure she is aware of what she does and how her future would have to be. She rarely seeks my advice and that too on very significant issues only; to be frank, she hasn’t sought my advice on anything for many years now.
It only means she is supremely confident of her own judgment of things. I wish her all success in her endeavours,” Kamal concluded.
Kamal is busy preparing for the theatrical release of his upcoming Vishwaroopam II which is likely to hit the screens in a couple of months from now. He is also shooting for the final schedule of shoot of Uttama Villain which is directed by Ramesh Aravind and which has a host of heroines in Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Urvashi, Parvathi and Parvathi Nair.
