Arya was reacting to press reports which said that not ‘all was well’ between Arya and Anushka. The lanky actress skipped the recently held audio launch of Amara Kaaviyam, which is Arya’s home production and which had Arya’s younger Sathya essaying the lead role. Arya had invited all her co-artistes for the function.
Trisha, who usually avoids audio-launches of others’ films, was present at the event. Nayantara, who has been displaying open camaraderie with Arya for a long time now, was also spotted. Anushka was conspicuous by her absence and some pressmen commented among themselves that she had purposely stayed away either due to a misunderstanding with Arya or due to her professional enmity with Nayantara in Tollywood.
‘‘I had invited Anushka and Taapsee Pannu along with other artistes but both of them couldn’t make it to the event. Anushka was busy shooting for Baahubali while Taapsee was shooting for her upcoming Hindi film. As such, nothing is wrong between Anushka and me; thankfully, we have a cordial and genial bond of friendship going,’’ explained Arya.
Sources close to Anushka say that she would surely take part in a soon-to-be arranged ‘Biriyani feast’ by Arya for his friends and relatives to celebrate Ramzan. Arya, who was busy with the promotional work of Amara Kaaviyam, couldn’t celebrate Ramzan satisfactorily and would do so in the proposed party.
