Here some previews about the movie.
Tech Team Selection:
AR Murugadoss surprised his fans by opting for Anirudh Ravichander over his favourite Harris Jayaraj to compose music for “Kaththi”. This time, the director probably wanted to work with a younger team, which was evident when he roped in George Williams to handle the cinematography.
The estimated budget of “Kaththi”, the work on which was started on 3 February 2014, is said to be over ₹55 crore. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
Names of a few big heroines from Bollywood were doing the rounds, but it was Samantha who bagged “Kaththi.” The other important cast was the villain. AR Murugadoss, like in “Thuppakki”, wanted a face, which would bring a good value to the project. So, he opted for Neil Nitin Mukesh. It was followed by roping in of Bengali actor Tota Roy Chowdhury to play one of the baddies. Thus the selection process of the key characters was completed.
Tota Roy Chowdhury revealed a part of the story in an interview. According to him, Vijay plays the character of a criminal mastermind, who helps the cop nab Chowdhury in “Kaththi”. Due to this the baddie seeks revenge against Illayathalapathy. The twist in the story comes when the he meets Vijay again where he discovers that this man is different from the one who had helped the police to catch him. Neil Nitin Mukesh, the main villain, plays an international don.
Anirudh Ravichander’s music has worked big time and again. The seven tracks in the album, which has been acquired by Eros, have topped charts. “Selfie Pulla”, “Nee Yaaro” and “Aathi” have become hit songs.
“Kaththi” will get a big opening and the screen count is expected to be over 1000 worldwide.
