Seeman, president of Naam Tamizhar Katchi, has come down hard in DMDK chief and actor-turned-politician Vijayakanth by saying that the latter had no moral right to criticize AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalithaa, who is presently serving a 4-year term after getting convicted in the misappropriation of assets case on 27th September.

Seeman was in Coimbatore where he addressed a meeting arranged to admit cadres from various political parties who chose to align with his party. After addressing the meeting, Seeman spoke to newsmen on the sidelines of the event. He said that he was hopeful that Jayalalithaa would be granted bail by the Supreme Court in view of the age factor.

“Considering her age and the position of power she had been holding till recently, I believe that the Supreme Court would grant her bail. Either way, I think Vijayakanth of DMDK has no moral right to criticize Jayalalithaa as he and many of his party MLAs won in 2011 Assembly elections riding mainly on Jayalalithaa’s popularity and the AIADMK wave which swept the State during that time.

“If Vijayakanath wants to continue with his criticism of Jayalalithaa, let him do so after asking his MLAs to resign en masse. Does he has the courage to do so?” he asked.
